Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver for day shifts in Glasgow. You will carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality and business customers, load and unload as required, and maintain accurate paperwork.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and tachograph card, good knowledge of local roads, and a professional, punctual attitude. The position offers Monday to Friday days, 45 hours per week, with a pension scheme and access to our candidate portal.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• CPC qualification and tachograph card mandatory.
• Experience in multi-drop delivery environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality and business customers.
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with road and safety regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload goods, often involving manual handling.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and supported by paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Adhere to driving laws, working time directives and tachograph regulations.

Rates HGV Class 2

• £21.50 per hour (Not including holiday pay)
• £24.30 per hour (Including holiday pay)

****Estimated weekly pay based on 45 hours £967.50****

****Expected annual earnings £50,310**** Inclusive of holiday pay

Duties:

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality, and business customers
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with road and safety regulations
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Load and unload goods, often involving manual handling
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate and supported by correct paperwork
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules
• Adhere to all driving laws, working time directives, and tachograph regulations
