Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 2 drivers for regular shifts in Haydock. The role involves multi-drop palletised freight, including deliveries and collections, using curtain-side 18-tonne vehicles.

Shifts run 06:00–17:00, with days, nights, and weekend rates paid weekly. A valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card are required, along with up to 6 points and at least 6 months experience.

Qualifications

• A valid UK HGV Class 2 licence.
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Minimum of 6 months experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time rules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pallets of wholesale soft drinks and alcohol to retail and hospitality clients.
• Multidrop palletised freight, including deliveries and collections.
• Work with tail lift and manual pump truck.
• Return empty to base when required.

• Days £17.93
• Nights £19.05
• Saturdays - £20.17
• Sundays £21.29

The role

• Shift: 06:00 – 17:00 (10 hour shifts )
• Location: Haydock
• Vehicle: Curtain-side 18-tonne Class 2
• Work: Multidrop palletised freight, including deliveries and collections
• Equipment: Tail lift and manual pump truck
• Area: North West
• Additional requirement: Potential for second runs on busier days, with drivers returning empty to base where required
• Delivering pallets of wholesale soft drinks and alcohol to retail and hospitality clients using pallet pump truck.

Requirements

You must have:

• A valid UK HGV Class 2 licence
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Minimum of 6 months experience
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time rules
• A reliable and professional approach
