Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the transport operation in Leeds and surrounding areas. This role suits experienced and newly qualified drivers seeking stability, good earnings, and long-term progression.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday; starts 6.00am. Pay rate: £16.00 per hour. Full training provided with ongoing support and weekly pay. Immediate starts available and staff canteen with free site parking.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK Category C licence and CPC card.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations.
• Deliver flooring products (with Driver's Mate).
• Complete loading/unloading tasks with care and accuracy.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects to management.
• Adhere to traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and site staff.
• Some handball required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Leedsand the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driveror Truck Driver.

Shift Pattern:Monday - Friday: 6.00am starts

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Deliver flooring products (working with a Driver's Mate)
• Complete loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management
• Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff
• SOME HANDBALL REQUIRED

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of road safety and compliance
• Ability to work with a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop deliveries

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Good customer interaction and service skills
