Job summary

HG Recruitment in Brighton is seeking HGV Class 2 drivers for day shifts to perform multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality and business customers. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle safely and complete daily checks.

Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC, have good knowledge of local roads, and be physically fit for manual handling. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality, and business customers.
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle following road and safety regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload goods with manual handling.
• Ensure accurate deliveries with proper paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Adhere to driving laws, working time directives, and tachograph regulations.

LOCATION: Brighton

SHIFTS: Days

RATESHGV Class 2

Days :

• £17.83 per hour (PAYE) | £19.98 (Rolled Up) - first 45 hours
• £26.75 per hour (PAYE) | £29.97 (Rolled Up) - after 45 hours in one week

****Estimated weekly pay based on 45 hours £802.35****

****Expected annual earnings £41,722.20**** PAYE

DUTIES:

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality, and business customers
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with road and safety regulations
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Load and unload goods, often involving manual handling
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate and supported by correct paperwork
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules
• Adhere to all driving laws, working time directives, and tachograph regulations
