Job summary

HG Recruitment is recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 drivers for Haydock with immediate starts on day shifts. You will handle multidelivery palletised freight across the North West using curtain-side 18-tonne trucks and a tail lift.

Expect weekly wages, competitive rates and regular work, with a 2-hour paid induction and ongoing support from our transport team based at Haydock. A valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and knowledge of drivers' hours are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Licence must have no more than 6 points.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• Knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time rules.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Multidrop palletised freight, including deliveries and collections.
• Deliver pallets of goods to retail and hospitality clients.
• Use tail lift and manual pump truck as required.
• Return to base when required and manage second runs on busy days.

The role

• Shift: 06:00 - 17:00 (10 hour shifts )
• Location: Haydock
• Vehicle: Curtain-side 18-tonne Class 2
• Work: Multidrop palletised freight, including deliveries and collections
• Equipment: Tail lift and manual pump truck
• Area: North West
• Additional requirement: Potential for second runs on busier days, with drivers returning empty to base where required
• Delivering pallets of wholesale soft drinks and alcohol to retail and hospitality clients using pallet pump truck.

Requirements

You must have:

• A valid UK HGV Class 2 licence
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Minimum of 6 months experience
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time rules
• A reliable and professional approach
