Driver Hire Stoke is recruiting 5 HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a major UK toy retailer in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This full-time role runs from September to January 2027 with flexible shift patterns including days, nights, tramping and depot-to-depot trunking.

Duties include delivering goods nationwide, load securing, vehicle checks and paperwork, and compliance with drivers' hours regulations. Candidates should have valid Class 1 licence, CPC, Tachograph card, and at least two years' experience;

Qualifications

Full-Time Work | September Start | Ongoing Until January 2027

Driver Hire is recruiting 5 HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for one of the UK's best-known toy retailers based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We're offering full-time ongoing work from 1st September through to the New Year, with a variety of shift patterns available to suit different drivers.

Whether you prefer days, nights, tramping or depot-to-depot trunking work, this employer has the opportunities available.

Pay Rates (Including Holiday Pay)

• Weekday Days: £16.25 per hour
• Weekday Nights: £17.37 per hour
• Saturdays: £17.37 per hour
• Sundays: £19.34 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £19.34 per hour

The Role

You'll be delivering goods throughout the UK network and stores, ensuring loads are transported safely, professionally and on time.Duties include:

• Completion of delivery paperwork

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence

Before starting, all successful drivers will complete a short on-site assessment with the client's in-house training team.

Following a successful assessment, you'll be able to start work immediately.
