Veolia is seeking a driver at our Hertfordshire transfer facility. You will operate a 40-hour week with a 5am start, collecting waste from Waterdale, Ware and Hitchin sites and transporting materials to disposal locations.
The role supports Veolia’s mission to improve communities by managing waste responsibly. The position requires an HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, up-to-date CPC and Tachograph cards, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a busy operations environment.

With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day. You will be collecting waste from Waterdale, Ware and Hitchin sites to disposal locations. Once operational, the transfer station will receive kerbside waste and recycling materials from the surrounding areas, while a bulky waste shredding facility will assist in early delivery of the council’s ambition to send zero waste to landfill by 2030. The building will be equipped with modern noise and odour controls, ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding areas.
