Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a licensed waste-collection driver based in Marchwood, near Southampton. The role involves collecting waste from transfer stations and recycling centres, loading and operating the vehicle safely in line with UK regulations, and keeping paperwork updated daily.

The position offers 42.5 hours per week with start times between 6am and 7am, a salary of £34,636.85 plus overtime, and benefits such as a pension and health resources. Training and development are available.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence with up-to-date CPC and Digi/Tachograph card.
• Experience operating waste-collection vehicles and knowledge of UK traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect waste from Transfer Stations and Household Waste Recycling Centres across Hampshire.
• Drive and load the vehicle assigned to you.
• Operate vehicles in line with UK traffic regulations ensuring safety for you and others.
• Check the condition of your vehicle and keep it neat and tidy at the end of shift.
• Maintain up-to-date paperwork and hand it in daily.

What will you be doing?

• Collecting waste from Transfer Stations and Household Waste Recycling Centres across Hampshire
• Drive and load the vehicle assigned to you
• Operating vehicles in line with UK traffic regulations ensuring safety for you and the people around you
• Checking the condition of your vehicle
• Ensuring your vehicle is kept neat and tidy at the end of your shift
• Ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date and handed in daily.

What are we looking for?

• Class 1 licence and experience
• Up to date CPC and Digi / Tachograph card
