Job summary

Veolia in Ware, Hertfordshire is seeking a driver with an HGV Class 1 license to join our UK fleet. You will start early and work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, collecting waste from Waterdale, Ware and Hitchin sites to disposal locations.

The role supports our mission to keep communities clean and sustainable, with paid breaks, 20 days of annual leave, access to our pension scheme and ongoing training opportunities.

Salary: £21.65 plus Veolia Benefits

Overtime on a rota

Hours: 40 per week including paid break. Monday to Friday - 5am starts

Base Location: Hertfordshire East Transfer Station, Ware, SG12 0EL

This new facility will be located behind Ware Recycling Centre on the A602, north of the town.

What will you be doing?

With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.

You will be collecting waste from Waterdale, Ware and Hitchin sites to disposal locations.

Once operational, the transfer station will receive kerbside waste and recycling materials from the surrounding areas, while a bulky waste shredding facility will assist in early delivery of the council's ambition to send zero waste to landfill by 2030. The building will be equipped with modern noise and odour controls, ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding areas.

What are we looking for?

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Up to date CPC and Digi / Tachograph card
