Job summary

Veolia Camden is seeking a Class 2 HGV driver to join our team. You will operate HGV vehicles daily, ensuring waste is collected in line with health and safety rules. The role includes housekeeping of the cab and involvement in loading when needed.

Qualifications

• Full valid driving licence required.
• Previous Class 2 experience required.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification card.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles as required (18t Dust Cast, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab).
• Ensure any waste spillage is cleared at the time of collection.
• Comply with site rules and Health & Safety procedures.
• Follow road traffic legislation regarding loads and parking.
• End of shift: leave cab clean and tidy, unload as needed.
• Assist with loading bins and containers when required.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks per operator handbook.

Class 2 HGV Driver Salary: £18.62 an hour, plus Veolia benefits

Location: Camden

Hours: 39 hours weekly (shift time is 2pm - 10pm)

What You’ll be doing

• Will be driving HGV Vehicles such as 18t Dust Cast, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab depending on business needs for the day/week
• Ensure that any spillage of waste is cleared at the time of collection to leave the site litter free
• When entering premises, comply with any site rules and Health & Safety procedures
• Comply with all road traffic legislation in relation to your duties including parking restriction, security and weight of loads
• The Company operates a zero tolerance on overweight vehicles
• At the end of the shift, ensure that the tipper is left empty and that the cab is clean and clear of litter, uniform and personal effects
• Helping out loading bins & containers when required
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook

What we’re looking for

Essential: Full valid driving licence

Previous Class 2 experience

Fully up to date Driver CPC Qualification Card

Valid Tachograph Card

Good understanding of basic English

Desirable: Waste experience
