Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Class 1 Driver at the Colwick Transfer Station in Nottingham. Salary is £15.49 per hour with an average of 48 hours per week, on a 4 on 2 off rota, typically 6am to 4pm, with overtime paid at 1.5x.

You will join a delivery team supporting essential waste, water and energy services. You’ll perform vehicle checks, complete paperwork, and ensure safe, compliant operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a Class 1 (C+E) license.
• Current Driver CPC required.
• Digi/Tachograph card up to date.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of Veolia's fleet, delivering to planned collection locations.
• Move and empty multiple waste containers and operate vehicles safely.
• Record information in the onboard system and keep paperwork up to date daily.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and adhere to driver handbook procedures.
• Comply with traffic laws and weight limits for loads.

What you’ll be doing;

• With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services.
• They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.
• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
