Job summary

Veolia UK is hiring for a driver at Hertfordshire East Transfer Station, Ware. You will collect waste from Waterdale, Ware and Hitchin sites and deliver to disposal locations, contributing to waste management in the community.

Role operates 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 5am start. Salary is £21.65 per hour plus Veolia Benefits, along with a pension, generous leave, and development opportunities.

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Up to date CPC and Digi / Tachograph card.

What will you be doing?

With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.

You will be collecting waste from Waterdale, Ware and Hitchin sites to disposal locations

Once operational, the transfer station will receive kerbside waste and recycling materials from the surrounding areas, while a bulky waste shredding facility will assist in early delivery of the council's ambition to send zero waste to landfill by 2030. The building will be equipped with modern noise and odour controls, ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding areas.

What are we looking for?
