Job summary

Schenk UK is a national tanker haulage company operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the UK. We are seeking an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our Stockton depot, on a 5 on 3 off Nights pattern.

Expect paid breaks, ADR/CPC refreshers, PPE, and a 45‑hour weekly guarantee. Essentially you will hold a Class 1 licence with up to six points, tachograph card, Driver CPC, ADR (all classes except 1 & 7), and a solid grasp of Driver Transport Legislation.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points.
• Tachograph card and Driver CPC required.
• ADR licence of all classes except 1 & 7.
• Strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation.
• Safety-focused mindset for tanker operations.
• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
• Tanker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive tanker routes as per schedule from Stockton depot.
• Adhere to ADR, CPC rules and transport legislation.
• Maintain safety, logs and vehicle checks during shifts.
• Complete paperwork and comply with company procedures.

Schenk UK is an innovative, national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we've proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.

We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Stockton depot, working a 5 on 3 off Nights shift pattern.

Pay Rates:

• £162.80 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.
• £14.80 per hour
• Overtime hours at £22.20 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday
• £41.54 per night out
• £22.20 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £29.60 per hour
• £29.60 per hour paid for Sunday shifts
• £150 per day paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay
• 45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
