Job summary

Schenk UK in Scunthorpe is seeking an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our depot team, with Monday to Friday tramping. The role offers training during onboarding and a comprehensive pay package.

You will hold a Class 1 licence with up to six points, tachograph card, Driver CPC, and ADR (all classes except 1 & 7). A strong safety focus and tanker experience are preferred, with full PPE provided and paid training.

Qualifications

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points.
• A tachograph card and Driver CPC.
• A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7.
• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience.
• Tanker experience preferred.

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative, national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we've proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.

• We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Scunthorpe depot, working Monday to Friday tramping.

Pay Rates:

• £162.80 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.
• £14.80 per hour
• Overtime hours at £22.20 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday
• £41.54 per night out
• £22.20 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £29.60 per hour
• £29.60 per hour paid for Sunday shifts
• £150 per day paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay
• 45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

Essential Requirements:

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points

• A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7
• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation
• A safety focus
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience
• Tanker Experience preferred.

The Package:

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
