Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver for a Sheffield location. The role involves straight trunk deliveries to Midlands hubs with no multi-drop and a pre-booked rota. Expect 12-hour average shifts, with start times between 14:00 and 22:00 and a fixed weekend pattern.

Applicants should have a Full UK Class C+E Licence, valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and at least 12 months of HGV Class 1 experience. Telematics and route planning tech are used in the modern fleet.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class C+E Licence is mandatory.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• Tachograph data must be available for last 3–6 months.

Responsibilities

• Straight trunk to hub and back or 1 x collection; no multi-drop.
• Pre-booked rota for planning; start times vary.
• No hand ball, clean driving work; safe driving at all times.

Pay Rates

• Saturday: £23.52ph until midnight, £26.25ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £26.25ph until midnight, £18.15ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Fixed Shifts: Saturday and/or Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 22:00
• Pre-booked rota for better planning

Job Role

• Destinations: Midlands Hubs
• Workload: Straight trunk to hub and back or x1 collection
• No multi-drop
• No hand ball - clean driving work only

Requirements

• Full UK Class C+E Licence

• 6 points maximus - no DR/DG/CC/DD/BA endorsements
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience
• Data available on your tachograph card displaying work over last 3 - 6 months
• Full induction required - this is paid time and must be completed on a midweek
