Scope Of Position

Reporting into the Assistant Heart of House Manager and supervisors, you will be responsible for maintaining back of house F&B areas, storerooms, and kitchens to the highest standards, assisting with waste disposal and recycling. Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and crockery, including the use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

Operation

  • Cleaning storage and maintaining crockery, glassware, cutlery.
  • Safely operating cleaning machines, dishwashers, and polishers, following safety protocols.
  • Supporting all Raffles and Mauro Colagreco areas as needed.
  • Organizing storerooms, recording breakages and wastage.
  • Coordinating waste disposal and recycling to meet Raffles' green standards.
  • Organizing deliveries and distributing them appropriately.
  • Performing additional duties in absence of line manager or senior staff.
  • Performing other duties as required, including working in different departments or restaurants.
Health and Safety
  • Ensuring COSHH standards are met when handling chemicals.
  • Reporting and rectifying hazards immediately.
  • Familiarity with departmental Fire, Emergency, and Bomb procedures.
  • Ensuring safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and anticipating hazards.
  • Encouraging health and safety awareness within the department.
Essential
  • Proven experience providing high service levels under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism.
  • Willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when needed.
Desirable
  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment, working with standards like LQA, Forbes 5*, or similar.
