Scope of Position

Reporting to the Assistant Heart of House Manager and supervisors, you will maintain back of house F&B areas, storerooms, and kitchens to high standards, assist with waste disposal and recycling, clean and maintain kitchen equipment and crockery, and handle cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Operation
• Clean storage areas and maintain crockery, glassware, and cutlery.
• Operate cleaning machines, dishwashers, and polishers following safety protocols.
• Support all Raffles and Mauro Colagreco areas as needed.
• Organize storerooms, record breakages and wastage.
• Coordinate waste disposal and recycling in line with Raffles' green standards.
• Organize deliveries and distribute them appropriately.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of line managers or senior staff, including working in different departments or restaurants.

Health and Safety

• Ensure compliance with COSHH standards when handling chemicals.
• Report and rectify hazards immediately.
• Familiarize with departmental fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
• Maintain safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and pre-planning safety measures.
• Promote awareness of health and safety in all tasks and activities.

Qualifications

Essential

• Proven ability to deliver high service levels under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism.
• Willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when required.

Desirable

Experience in a luxury hotel environment working with standards such as LQA, Forbes 5*, or equivalent.
