Scope Of Position

Reporting to the Assistant Heart of House Manager and supervisors, you will be responsible for maintaining back of house F&B areas, storerooms, and kitchens to the highest standards, assisting with waste disposal and recycling, cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and crockery. The role involves the use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

1. Operation

• Cleaning storage and maintaining crockery, glassware, and cutlery.
• Safely operating cleaning machines, dishwashers, and polishers, following safety protocols.
• Supporting all Raffles and Mauro Colagreco areas as needed.
• Organizing storerooms, recording breakages and wastage.
• Coordinating waste disposal and recycling with all departments to meet Raffles green standards.
• Organizing deliveries and distributing items appropriately.
• Performing additional duties in the absence of line managers or senior staff.
• Other duties as assigned, including working in different departments or restaurants.

Health and Safety

• Ensuring COSHH standards are met when handling chemicals.
• Reporting and rectifying hazards immediately.
• Familiarity with departmental fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
• Maintaining safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and ordinances, and pre-planning defenses against hazards.
• Promoting health and safety awareness within the department.

Qualifications

Essential

• Proven ability to deliver high service levels under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism.
• Willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when required.

Desirable

Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment, working with standards such as LQA, Forbes 5*, or equivalent.
