gtd healthcare is recruiting a Receptionist for Droylsden Medical Practice in Manchester. You will warmly welcome patients, direct them to the right service, handle registrations and appointment requests, and maintain accurate records.

You will also manage telephone calls, process repeat prescriptions, and support effective communication across teams and with external agencies. The role covers both full-time and part-time hours (16-37.5 per week), with a values-driven environment, a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality customer service in a busy reception or GP setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to assist patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Welcome and receive all patients and visitors to the Practice.
• Assist and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional/service.
• Process all requests for appointments, visits and telephone triage to the right clinician.
• Project a positive and friendly image in person and on the telephone.
• Complete new registration procedures and ensure accurate recording of details.
• Receive and make telephone calls and take messages with accuracy.
• Action repeat prescription requests.
• Provide test results to patients.
• Accept payments and issue receipts for private services.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients, staff and external healthcare agencies.
• Act as a chaperone for general examinations if requested.
• Monitor reception area and manage difficult or agitated patients appropriately.
• Handle general enquiries and explain procedures as requested.
