Job summary

gtd healthcare is a large NHS-commissioned primary and urgent care provider in North West England. This role is a 18-month fixed-term Receptionist position at New Bank Health Centre in Longsight, Manchester.

The post covers both full-time and part-time hours, Monday to Friday within 08:00–18:00, with emphasis on first-class customer service, registration, triage, and accurate data recording. NHS experience and EMIS/Docman knowledge are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Good standard of secondary education.
• Demonstrable commitment to professional development.
• Experience in a busy public reception environment (GP practice desirable).

Responsibilities

• Welcome and receive patients and visitors to the Practice.
• Direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional/service.
• Process appointment requests and triage to the correct professional.
• Provide test results and handle private payments where required.
• Assist with registration procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain reception area and manage difficult behaviour when needed.
