A healthcare provider in Worksop is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism. The role entails assisting with daily living activities, maintaining service user records, and providing essential care. This is a Healthcare Assistant role at Elysium Healthcare, a provider of specialist care services for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and sensory and communication differences. The role involves supporting service users in their daily activities, both within the home and in the community, to help them lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will join a supportive and inclusive team that works together to provide care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Your responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living, completing service user records, and providing overall care and support, which may include helping with personal care.
What you will be doing:
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism, using your knowledge and skills to support and encourage individuals to lead a full and meaningful life, enabling them to live more independently through a programme of active community engagement, developing social networks and coping strategies.
Your day to day will include supporting individuals with activities of daily living, activities within the home and community, completing service user records and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal care.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Be part of a new team at this residential service for adults under 65 years with a Learning Disability, Autism and sensory and communication differences located in Creswell, a 10 minute drive from Worksop.
Dove House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area. The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation.
The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.
