Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Colchester is looking for a compassionate and proactive Healthcare Assistant to join the team. This role involves directly supporting patients in their homes, utilizing complex care skills. Candidates must have experience in Tracheostomy and other care qualifications. The position offers weekly payments, a referral fee, and flexible shifts. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship for overseas candidates, and there is a gender requirement as per health regulations.

Qualifications

  • Tracheostomy experience is essential.
  • Experience with complex care procedures is required.

Responsibilities

  • Using complex care equipment and performing complex care procedures.
  • Supporting clients outside of the home for medical appointments.
  • Caring for patients within their homes and building rapport with family members.
  • Following care plans and reporting changes to clinical leads.

Here at FOH we have got a great opportunity to work one on one with patients in their family homes.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Tracheostomy - ESSENTIAL
  • Seizure Management
  • Suctioning
  • Enteral feeding
  • Non-Invasive Ventilation (BIPAP)
  • Personal Care

FYI shifts available are Wednesday 07:00-16:00 and Sunday 07:00-15:00

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Using complex care equipment and carrying out complex care procedures
  • Supporting clients outside of the home where required i.e., medical appointments.
  • Caring for patients within their own home and building a rapport with family members
  • Ensure care plans and other information are followed and any changes are escalated to clinical leads efficiently and safely.
