The Role

We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Lecturer to join a supportive and forward-thinking teaching team. You will play a key role in shaping learners' futures by delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and providing meaningful support throughout their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Health & Social Care lessons across Levels 1-3
• Support and guide learners in both academic and practical contexts
• Track student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback
• Create and assess course materials in accordance with awarding body standards
• Keep up-to-date with developments in the health and social care sector to enhance teaching practice
• Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning and quality assurance
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment

Education, Skills and Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., Degree, NVQ Level 3+, Nursing or Social Work background).
• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience teaching within Further Education or similar educational settings
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and current industry practices
• Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills
