Overview

Out client is a well-regarded environmental company who provide a range of high-quality health and safety services throughout the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced and accredited Health & Safety Consultant to work in the Wakefield area. The ideal candidate will come from a technical occupational hygiene/water hygiene/asbestos background, hold the NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification, and be fully conversant with health and safety guidelines. Applications from Dewury, Bradford, Leeds, and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing background in asbestos, legionella, or similar.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent CMIOSH certificates; health & safety qualifications are essential.
  • Practical working experience in specified industries such as asbestos, legionella, fire.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise own workload and presentations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package & database usage.
  • Extensive travelling required; flexible attitude to work.
  • Interest in p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 or s301 CCP qualifications.
Main Responsibilities
  • Attend sites to carry out inspections related to Health & Safety performance of teams.
  • Undertake Health & Safety risk assessments and address issues that arise.
  • Carry out Health & Safety, staff, and compliance audits.
  • Provide technical support to the company’s clients.
  • Produce comprehensive audit, Health & Safety, and environmental reports.
  • Conduct Safety Training courses.
