Job Opportunity: Health, Safety and Wellbeing Assistant

Location: Plymouth City Council

Contract: 1 October 2025 – 27 February 2026 (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 37 per week | Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30

Plymouth City Council is seeking a proactive and organised Health, Safety and Wellbeing Assistant to provide short-term maternity cover within the Customer and Corporate Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a dynamic HR function and contribute to a safe, healthy, and supportive working environment across the council.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation
  • Assist with risk assessments, incident reporting, and compliance monitoring
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with council policies
  • Liaise with internal teams to promote wellbeing and ensure safe working practices
  • Provide administrative support to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team
