Health Care Assistant - Tudor Court

The closing date is 01 October 2025

Tudor Court is a 24 bedded unenhanced Intermediate Care Unit medical for patients who require reablement and rehabilitation. The Unit is staffed by Unregistered Team Leaders and Health Care Assistants. There is also a dedicated therapy team who work collaboratively with the care staff.

All posts are rotational and you will be required to work days/nights/weekends and Bank Holidays.

Health Care Assistant duties will be to support the Team Leader in all aspects of caring for patients on the unit.

Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on the 9th April 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour). As per Agenda for Change, if you are new to the NHS your starting salary would be £24,937 (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1st April 2025 in line with National Living Wage requirements). This salary point is below the new minimum threshold, and therefore not eligible for sponsorship. Main duties of the job
  • To support patients with all aspects of daily living, including washing, dressing and toileting.
  • Assisting patients with reablement and rehabilitation following a prescribed therapy plan of care.
  • Supporting patients with mobility, including moving and handling and use of equipment.
  • Maintaining positional changes and skin integrity.
  • Helping with eating and drinking, completing fluid balance and food diaries, social activities, emotional and wellbeing support.
  • Completing safety checks on equipment, cleaning equipment.
  • General house keeping and maintaining a clean and safe ward environment.
  • Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard.
  • You will work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team including Unregistered Team Leaders, Doctors, activities co-ordinator, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist. You will be required to follow care plans and keep records of evaluations/outcomes throughout your shift.
