A dedicated charity organization in Malvern is seeking a compassionate Health Care Assistant to provide personal care and support to residents. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience in a care home and display respectfulness, strong teamwork, and self-motivation. Friends of the Elderly is a not‑for‑profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel. For over 120 years we have supported older people through care homes and day care services, as well as granting financial assistance to those in difficulty.
Malvern offers person‑centred day care for people living with dementia. Residents can meet new friends and take part in activities they enjoy, with help and support from our dedicated and experienced care staff.
We’re looking for a Health Care Assistant with at least 6 months experience in a care home environment. The ideal candidate is empathetic, respectful, self‑motivated, flexible, a team player, and willing to go the extra mile to enable residents to lead fulfilled lives. A real passion for care and an ability to build solid relationships with our residents are essential.
Keeping everyone safe is one of the charity’s core values. All staff follow our Safeguarding Policy & Procedures and are expected to report any suspected abuse straight away.
Successful applicants will undertake an enhanced DBS check. Any offer of employment is dependent on a satisfactory outcome. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar a person from working for us – this will depend on the circumstances and background of any record.
