Job summary

A national consultancy firm is seeking a Health and Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor to conduct audits, perform fire risk assessments, and provide safety training. This role is home-based with nationwide travel required. Candidates should have a NEBOSH General/Fire Certificate and experience in Health & Safety consultancy. The ideal applicant will have a valid driving license and a commitment to ensuring safe working practices.

Company Overview: Lighthouse Risk Services LLP is a national firm specializing in Health & Safety and Employment Law consultancy, with offices in Leeds. Our services include Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys, CDM, and Health & Safety Training.

Position: Health and Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor

Location: High Wycombe, United Kingdom (remote with travel)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Health & Safety audits and reviews of safe working practices.
  • Perform Fire Risk Assessments for various properties.
  • Carry out independent contract site inspections.
  • Assist in formulating risk assessments and method statements.
  • Prepare policy documentation.
  • Conduct safety training courses.
  • Provide support and competent advice to clients.
  • Assist with SSIP accreditation applications and tender documentation.
  • Undertake specialist surveys and assessments (qualification dependent).

Qualifications: NEBOSH General/Fire Certificate (or equivalent) required. Membership in IOSH/IFE and P402 asbestos surveying certification are advantageous. Previous experience in H&S consultancy or fire risk assessment in a customer-facing role is desirable.

Additional Details: Role is home-based with nationwide travel, including occasional overnight stays. A valid driving license is essential.
