Job summary

GAUCHO Cardiff is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate, warm, and capable of growing within a high-end environment, while representing GAUCHO values to guests.

Previous Head Receptionist experience and proven staff leadership are essential. You will oversee reservations, floor plans, and daily operations, ensuring an excellent guest experience across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous Head/Senior Receptionist experience.
• Enthusiasm for hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
• Warm, hospitable personality with strong leadership.
• Able to manage and develop a reception team.

• Develop strategies for reservations to optimise restaurant capacity.

The ideal Head Receptionist candidate will be passionate and want to grow within a busy, high end environment. They will demonstrate personality and warmth towards guests and be a Gaucho ambassador. We are looking for someone with previous Head Receptionist experience, and experience managing a team.

Key Responsibilities Of The GAUCHO Head Receptionist

• To work with or develop suitable strategies & reservation that optimise restaurant capacity
• To regularly review adherence to all agreed systems and correct where necessary
• Floor plan and section management with recordable history of section allocation
• Allocate tasks to members of the team adjusting according to service requirements
• Collation of guest database through accurate records and database systems
• Staffing Levels managed including costed rotas, holiday management and productivity management. Assist management with Receptionist 1-2-1's and performance management.
• To understand and pro-actively work towards all cover growth targets for the business

Requirements For GAUCHO Head Receptionist

• Previous experience as a Head/ Senior Receptionist
• Enthusiasm for hospitality, and a fast-paced working environment
