Job summary

GAUCHO Cardiff is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Receptionist to join our busy, high-end team. The successful candidate will bring warmth, guest focus and strong leadership to manage a reception area and lead a receptionist team.

You will develop reservation strategies to optimise capacity, ensure systems are followed, and contribute to staff development and guest database management. This role offers career progression in a fast-paced Gaucho environment with frontline hospitality

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head/Senior Receptionist.
• Enthusiasm for hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
• Warm and hospitable personality.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with or develop strategies and reservations to optimise restaurant capacity.
• Regularly review adherence to all agreed systems and correct where necessary.
• Floor plan and section management with recordable history of section allocation.
• Allocate tasks to team members adjusting according to service requirements.
• Collation of guest database through accurate records and database systems.
• Staffing levels managed including costed rotas, holiday management and productivity management; assist management with Receptionist 1-2-1s and performance management.
• Understand and pro-actively work towards all cover growth targets for the business.
