Job description

We are partnering with a large European organisation to recruit an experienced Procure to Pay (P2P) Department Manager to lead end-to-end P2P and Payments Operations across a multi-country environment.

This is a senior finance operations role, suited to a process-led, transformation-focused leader with experience managing shared services and driving standardisation and automation at scale.

The Role

You will have end-to-end ownership of the Procure to Pay and Payments processes across Europe, providing both strategic direction and operational leadership. Working closely with Finance, Procurement, IT, Treasury and outsourced partners, you will ensure efficient, compliant and future-ready processes.

You will also play a key role in finance transformation initiatives, systems projects and operating model design, while maintaining accountability for day-to-day service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end P2P and Procure-to-Invoice (P2I) operations
  • Own payments operations, including payment execution, controls and cash-related processes
  • Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement
  • Manage relationships with outsourced shared service providers
  • Ensure strong governance, SOX compliance and audit readiness
  • Act as P2P lead for finance systems and transformation projects
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, IT and Treasury
  • Lead, develop and engage a pan-European P2P team
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a P2P Process Owner or senior P2P leader in a large multinational environment
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams and shared services
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong control mindset with experience in SOX or similar frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience delivering transformation and process improvement initiatives
Desirable
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, Concur or VIM
  • Additional European language skills
