Process Operator – Energy from Waste

Circa £40,000 + Shift allowance + annual bonus + benefits

Responsibilities
  • Carry out operational activities within the tipping hall.
  • Operate mobile plant equipment to ensure an efficient and consistent delivery of fuel to the boiler.
  • Ensure the day‑to‑day operations of the weighbridge are carried out efficiently and record waste deliveries to the site.
  • Manage waste effectively in the tipping hall area.
  • Accept the delivery of site consumables.
  • Conduct basic first‑line maintenance when required to assist the operations team.
Requirements
  • Experience working in the waste / EFW sector or other heavy processing environments (e.g., quarry, cement works, anaerobic digestion, water treatment).
  • Experience operating a wide range of mobile plant equipment such as an excavator, loading shovel, 360 excavator, FLT, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good attitude and willingness to learn.
Working Hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on an early and late shift pattern.
