Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head of Maintenance for a care home in the United Kingdom. You will lead a maintenance team, ensure a clean and well-maintained environment, and support the General Manager with budget planning.

You’ll manage a range of tasks from fixing taps to garden work, liaising with external contractors, and ensuring the wellbeing of residents while maintaining safe, compliant facilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience across properties.
• Reliable and flexible working hours.
• Full UK driving licence, IT literacy and Maths/English GCSEs (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage maintenance team within the care home.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Liaise with contractors for specialised work.
• Carry out and oversee maintenance tasks across building and gardens.
