Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is seeking a Head of Maintenance for a care home. You will lead the maintenance team, manage daily repairs, and keep the home in optimal condition with a focus on resident comfort and staff efficiency.

You will coordinate with contractors, contribute to annual budget planning, and ensure safety standards while maintaining a warm, homely atmosphere for residents and families.

Qualifications

• At least one hands-on maintenance trade skill.
• Reliable and flexible with working hours.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• IT literacy to use computer systems and records.

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team to keep the care home in good condition.
• Liaise with contractors for works outside the team’s expertise.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.
