Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head of Maintenance for a care home in the United Kingdom. You will oversee all aspects of maintenance in the building and grounds, lead a small team, and work with the General Manager on budgets to ensure a warm, safe environment for residents.

You will manage a variety of tasks from fixing taps to planting bulbs, liaising with contractors, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience and leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience of property maintenance.
• At least one trade skill.
• Reliable and flexible with working hours.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team within the care home and gardens.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Liaise with contractors on external projects.
• Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks around the building and grounds.
• Ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.
