Job summary

Mitie in Swansea, South Wales, is seeking a Head of Engineering Services - Facilities to oversee and manage the delivery of high-quality hard services on a site-based contract. You will drive operational excellence, ensure statutory compliance, and build strong client relationships to sustain service delivery.

You will lead hard services teams, manage contractor performance, control budgets and reporting, and work with senior management to maximise asset life.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hard services management within Facilities Management or a related sector.
• Relevant professional qualification in electrical or mechanical discipline (HNC, HND or degree).
• Strong knowledge of SFG20 legislation.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, UK Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, CAFM systems, and asset management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead hard services teams to develop a proactive, customer-focused culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee third-party contractors to meet KPIs, SLAs and compliance requirements.
• Ensure emergency planning, safety procedures, audits and inspections are up to date.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and optimise resources for growth.
• Collaborate with senior management, clients and stakeholders to improve service delivery and reporting.
