Job summary

Mitie Swansea is seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Supervisor to lead engineering teams delivering maintenance across a large estate. You will plan, prioritise and oversee day and shift work, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and high workmanship standards.

In this role you’ll provide technical direction, manage contractors where needed and foster a culture of safe practices and reliable service delivery while maintaining focus on asset performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience across day and shift patterns.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and permits.
• Ability to prioritise workloads under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
• Plan, allocate and prioritise planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure appropriate engineering resources and competencies are available.
• Monitor maintenance performance and escalation of risks.
• Provide technical guidance and support during fault investigations.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with legislation, standards and site procedures.
• Coordinate safety systems of work, permits and isolations.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns and intrusive maintenance to minimise disruption.
• Manage specialist contractors when required.
• Monitor engineering standards and quality, challenging incomplete work.
• Support compliance activities and maintain maintenance records.
