Job summary

Haven is seeking a Head of Department – Head of Facilities to lead a large team across site maintenance, facilities management, security and cleaning at our UK parks. You will drive safety, guest experience and operational excellence while managing budgets and resources.

You will mentor managers, uphold high standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences for guests and owners at Haven’s parks, including a busy support centre in Hemel Hempstead.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in hard and soft facilities management
• Vendor management with proven negotiation skills
• Proven leadership and organizational abilities with diverse workforce development
• Strategic planning and problem-solving experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Track record of meeting department and organization goals
• Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Commercial mindset with cost management experience
• Strong task and project organization with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize in busy periods

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Facilities Team, setting clear goals and expectations, and motivating the team to achieve results
• Ensure engaging 90-day induction and training for new team members
• Interact with guests and owners, resolve escalated issues and analyse feedback for improvements
• Develop and implement strategic plans including budgeting and resource allocation
• Engage, educate, support, and appraise team members to foster growth and collaboration
• Continuously assess performance and implement process improvements
• Support annual sales growth and profitability through maintenance and cleaning operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintain safety and compliance across gas, water, electricity, drainage and caravan siting
