Job Description:

Our client is seeking an interim Head of Credit Risk with strong mortgage experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience working within mortgages
• Practical experience managing credit risk throughout the credit lifecycle
• Knowledge of expert and judgmental lending approaches, as well as portfolio/modelled approaches
• Experience developing, implementing, and embedding risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal teams and external partners
• Ability to develop and enhance management information systems for oversight and decision-making
• Understanding of the regulatory environment relating to credit risk and UK banking/financial services trends and upcoming regulatory changes
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Previous experience presenting to Boards, Non-executive Directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams
