This is a high-impact, senior commercial finance role in a fast-growing, private equity-backed consulting and business services group.

Scaling fast across multiple regions, the business is complex, people-led and data-driven. They need a commercially sharp finance leader to bring insight, structure and pace to decision-making.

This is a hands-on, influential position. You’ll partner with the CFO, CEO, and Managing Directors to drive performance, shape strategy and ensure that commercial decisions are built on real financial understanding.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and develop the commercial finance function, managing and mentoring a small team of Finance Business Partners
  • Partner with senior leaders across the UK, US and EMEA to challenge performance and drive growth
  • Build and maintain commercial models to support pricing, investment, and scenario planning
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting across service lines and geographies
  • Deliver clear, actionable insight that supports strategy, client profitability and margin improvement
  • Work closely with the CFO and PE investors to deliver high-quality reporting, board packs and analysis
  • Support major strategic projects including M&A, international expansion and new service launches
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs and performance tools that bring commercial visibility and accountability
  • Lead continuous improvement across data, systems and reporting to enable better, faster decisions
  • Act as the financial conscience of the business, ensuring smart investment and commercial discipline
What we’re looking for
  • Proven success as a Head of Commercial Finance, Head of FP&A or similar
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Experience in consulting, business services or other project-based sectors
  • Excellent communicator who can influence across C-suite, investors and operational leadership
  • Deep understanding of data, systems and reporting tools such as Power BI or Adaptive
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused and comfortable in a high-growth, PE-backed environment
  • Global experience (UK, US or EMEA exposure) would be useful but not essential
Why join
  • £130,000 + bonus
  • Work directly with an impressive CFO and experienced PE investors
  • Shape and lead the commercial finance agenda across a scaling international business
  • High visibility and influence with board, investors and banks
  • Build the frameworks, tools and insight capability that underpin future growth
  • Fast-paced, ambitious and collaborative culture
  • Hybrid working, 1 to 2 days per week in the London office
