Are you an experienced Quality and Assurance professional looking for a senior move? I've partnered with a leading M&E specialist operating across rail, infrastructure and civil engineering, looking for a Head of Assurance to join their ranks. You will have a strong background Quality Assurance, integrated management systems and compliance, within a similar environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective multi-function Business Management System across all functions and projects
- Working with operational and functional leads to ensure system changes are identified, implemented, and tracked
- Lead and support maintenance of key ISO Standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
- Supporting operational teams with maintaining key licences to operate, such as: RISQS (Rail), HERS (Highways) etc
- Support functional leads in maintaining accreditations such as PAS 2080 (Carbon), CEMARS (Carbon), Construction Line (HSE)
- Owning and implementing a business-wide risk-based audit schedule, covering internal and external compliance requirements
- Leading business management reviews aligned with ISO requirements and strategic assurance objectives
- Promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the business
- Recruiting, leading and developing the Business Assurance Team to ensure high performance and engagement

Key competencies include:
- Lead Auditor Certificate in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 27001
- Diploma-level qualification in Quality Management and/or Health & Safety
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) (DESIRED)
- Certified or Chartered Member of IOSH or IIRSM (DESIRED)
- Proven experience in a Senior Manager / Head of Compliance or Assurance role (ESSENTIAL)
- Demonstrable experience owning and implementing Business Management Systems (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong background in auditing and managing operational accreditations beyond ISO standards (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience leading teams and driving high performance (ESSENTIAL)Experience in construction or infrastructure sectors (ESSENTIAL)
