Daily Permanent Head Housekeeper – UHNW Private Household – Belgravia, Central London

Salary: £70,000 gross per annum

We are seeking an experienced Daily Permanent Head Housekeeper to work for a private UHNW family residing in a large London townhouse in Belgravia, with occasional travel to a secondary property outside London. This is a fantastic long‑term opportunity for an energetic and experienced Head Housekeeper looking to work within a well‑run UHNW household, offering responsibility, variety, and a competitive salary.

This is a senior, hands‑on role suited to a highly professional, proactive, and discreet Head Housekeeper with proven experience running a high‑end private household.

Required to work Monday to Friday, working on a rota basis: Early shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Late shift: 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Flexibility required for occasional weekends and extended hours. When the family is abroad, hours typically revert to the early shift.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee, manage, and work alongside two housekeepers in the London residence
  • Coordinate daily with the Property Manager regarding schedules, staffing, and operations across both properties
  • Hands‑on housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, packing/unpacking, and wardrobe management
  • Responsible for the house account, overseeing monthly expenses and reporting to the Property Manager
  • Purchase and delivery of groceries and household provisions for both London and the secondary property
  • Light flower arranging for informal displays
  • Run ad‑hoc errands as required
  • Front of House duties: welcoming guests, receiving parcels, supervising contractors and service staff
  • Liaise with the chef regarding menus and household rotas; assist with light service, table setting, serving, and clearing
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Head Housekeeper role within a high‑end private household
  • Exceptional housekeeping standards with the ability to train and supervise junior staff
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent English essential
  • Proactive, trustworthy, discreet, and highly organised
  • Flexible to travel between properties and adjust hours based on the family’s needs
  • Strong knowledge of London suppliers and vendors
  • Ideally hold a full, clean UK driving licence and own reliable transport (travel expenses reimbursed)
  • Willing to respond to occasional out‑of‑hours requests
  • Excellent written references are essential
