Job summary

Novotel London Stansted, part of the Arora Group, seeks a Head Housekeeper to lead a large housekeeping team across a 250-bedroom 4-star hotel, ensuring the highest cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.

You will develop procedures, monitor budgets, drive audits, and coach staff to continually improve, while upholding health and safety and the Arora brand.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading a large housekeeping team in a hotel.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and guest-focused mindset.
• High standard of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to analyse data and produce reports to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large housekeeping team to maintain top cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Develop and implement efficient housekeeping procedures and best practices.
• Ensure brand standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• Prepare and monitor the annual department budget, focusing on occupancy, payroll and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to audits to drive continual improvement.
• Address guest concerns promptly and attentively.
• Coach, train, and support the team to sustain high standards and continual improvement.

Novotel London Stansted is a stylish hotel, just a short shuttle ride from the airport. It features 250 bedrooms and offers a great all-day dining restaurant, café and bar. Our four-star hotel includes eight meeting rooms that can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests. It also provides fitness facilities and ample parking for both guests and employees.

A bit about what you will do...

The Head Housekeeper in our stylish hotel inspires the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout, creating a welcoming and immaculate environment that consistently exceeds guests’ expectations.

• Lead and manage a large housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Develop and implement efficient housekeeping procedures and best practices.
• Ensure company brand standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• Prepare and monitor the annual departmental operating budget, with a focus on occupancy, payroll costs and departmental expenses.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
• Address any guest concerns promptly, attentively and efficiently.
• Coach, train, and support the team to provide consistently high standards while continually looking to improve.
