Job summary

Loungers plc is seeking a hands-on Head Chef for Maggio Lounge, a busy café bar. You will lead the kitchen, build and coach a kitchen team, and ensure high standards from the pass to plate.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a kitchen and teams across shifts.
• Strong cooking skills and menu knowledge.
• Ability to manage GP, wastage, and stock while upholding food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Maggio Lounge kitchen during shifts.
• Recruit, develop and coach kitchen team at all levels.
• Know menu specs and processes, spot issues before they occur.
• Own site-level action plan with GM for food wait times and stock counts.
• Deliver on KPIs: quality, wait times, wastage, safety, GP.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned to sales and bookings.
• Collaborate closely with front-of-house to build a one-team culture.
