Job summary

Loungers plc in Bonzo Lounge is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen and drive high standards across every service. You’ll own the kitchen from open to close, build and coach a capable team, and ensure every dish leaves the pass flawlessly.

We offer a competitive base salary with a bonus, overtime paid, real progression opportunities through in-house training, and 50% staff discount from day one. A 48-hour contract (40-hour option available) applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership role.
• Experience leading a busy kitchen and teams of KPs, Chefs and Sous Chefs.
• Strong focus on GP, wastage, cost control and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen from open to close, ensuring standards are met.
• Recruit, coach and develop kitchen team with clear progression plans.
• Ensure menu specs and processes are followed; pass quality is consistent.
• Own site-level action plans for food wait times, ordering, stock and cleaning.
• Collaborate with FOH to build a one-team culture and cross-train.
