Job summary

Loungers plc is seeking a hands-on Head Chef to lead the Cappello Lounge kitchen. You will manage shifts, build and coach a high-performing team, and ensure every dish meets our high standards.

The role offers real progression within a growing hospitality brand with strong earning potential through bonus and overtime. You will work closely with the General Manager, own a clear action plan, and drive KPIs for food quality, wait times, wastage, and cost controls while maintaining excellent guest

Qualifications

• Hands-on Head Chef with kitchen leadership experience.
• Experience leading hospitality teams.
• Strong standards and customer focus.
• Knowledge of GP, stock, wastage and food safety KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the Cappello Lounge kitchen, leading every shift from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach your kitchen team at all levels with clear development plans.
• Know menu specs and kitchen processes inside out and ensure every dish leaves the pass as it should.
• Own a site-level action plan with the GM covering food wait times, ordering, stock and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP, and report on performance.
