Job summary

Loungers plc, the operator of Orso Lounge, is hiring a Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen on a full-time basis. You will drive high standards, build and coach a loyal team, and own the kitchen from open to close, ensuring every plate meets specs and delivers customer delight.

You will work with a growing hospitality brand, enjoying clear progression, in-house training, and a supportive environment that values quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience as Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef.
• Ability to manage a busy kitchen and lead shifts from open to close.
• Strong understanding of GP, labour, stock, wastage and food safety KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the kitchen at Orso Lounge and lead every shift.
• Recruit, develop and coach kitchen staff at all levels.
• Ensure menu specs and kitchen processes are followed and dishes leave the pass correctly.
• Own site-level action plan with General Manager for wait times, ordering and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: food quality, wait times, wastage and GP.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned to sales and bookings.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to foster a one-team culture.
