Job summary

HC-One Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Chef to lead a kitchen team across dementia, nursing and residential care homes. You will plan nutritious meals, respect dietary needs and cultural preferences, and ensure HACCP-compliant hygiene and safety across the operation.

You will manage stock, budgets and orders, work with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence, and shape mealtimes into ambient dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• An S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
• A minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
• A good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)

Responsibilities

• Inspire your kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that residents will enjoy.
• Ensure every dish supports residents' health and wellbeing, with attention to dietary needs and cultural preferences.
• Oversee stock, budgets, orders and compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, and liaise with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence.
