Job summary

HC-One Limited is seeking a dedicated Chef for our care home kitchen in the United Kingdom. The role is 30 hours per week, focusing on preparing wholesome, homemade meals that support residents’ nutrition and enjoyment.

You will hold an NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, plus Level 2 Food Hygiene, and possess HACCP knowledge. A creative approach to menus and teamwork are essential, with safeguarding responsibilities strongly emphasized.

Qualifications

• Qualified cook with NVQ2 or equivalent in Catering & Hospitality.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Experience in care home or institutional catering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wholesome meals that meet nutritional needs for Residents.
• Demonstrate creativity in menu planning and dish presentation.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
