Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and peripheral hardware.
• Implement and maintain OS, virtualization platforms, and system monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with software, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure hardware compatibility and optimal performance.
• Manage system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure performance issues.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities for critical systems.
• Implement security policies, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Support technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and peripheral hardware
• Implement and maintain OS, virtualization platforms, and system monitoring tools
• Collaborate with software, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure hardware compatibility and optimal system performance

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Must have experience with Hardware & Infrastructure – Setting-up Servers (Dell, HP, Cisco), Storage systems and configuration of Networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Strong experience with Operating Systems both Linux and Windows Servers.
• Virtualization & Cloud Platforms – VMware, AWS, Azure
• Database & Application Support – Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Scripting & Automation – Bash, PowerShell, Python
• Networking Protocols – TCP / IP, VPN, VLANs, Subnetting, Firewalls, Routing / Switching
• System Monitoring & Management – Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds
